The joint cooperation of the Japanese Embassy with the Behnam Daheshpour Charity organization

Help from the Japanese Embassy to the Behnam Daheshpour Charity Organization regarding the purchase of an ultrasound machine for the imaging center of the Breast Clinic, Cancer Institute, Imam Khomeini Hospital;
The Embassy of Japan with the aim to provide its humanitarian and construction assistance to governmental and non-governmental organizations in the Islamic Republic of Iran and in order to maintain good relations between the two countries, has provided support to the projects that have been requested through various non-governmental organizations and government institutions in the fields of education, empowerment, welfare and health.

The Japanese government’s grant-in-aid to basic humanitarian projects, or GGP, mainly emphasizes projects that are highly beneficial in meeting people’s needs and are particularly effective when financed on a small grant and projects that require rapid humanitarian support.

According to the strategic priority of the institute in the upcoming five-year plan, regarding the early diagnosis of cancer and according to the announcement of the need and request of the imaging center of the Breast Clinic of the Imam Khomeini Hospital, regarding “advanced ultrasound equipment”, With the efforts of the public participation unit and the approval of this plan by the institute’s technical experts and during a visit to the project site.
The above explanatory plan was prepared by the Behnam Daheshpour Charity Organization and was sent to the Japanese embassy, and finally, fortunately, the above plan was re-examined by the representatives of the embassy and was approved.

In this regard, on Tuesday, 22 Azar 1401 (13th December 2022), a contract was signed between the Embassy of Japan and the Behnam Daheshpour charity for the provision of this device. Currently, breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women, and the ultrasound machine is one of the early detection tools in the women’s screening program and one of the effective tools for detecting high risk and at risk of breast cancer. With the provision of the requested ultrasound machine for Imam Khomeini Hospital for the visualization and diagnosis of small breast lesions and the diagnosis of early breast cancers, and with the presence of expert medical staff and professors and the easy access of this hospital in the city center and the acceptance of various types of insurance, a large number clients from Tehran and different cities and less fortunate areas can visit this center to receive standard diagnostic services and also the establishment of the above device in the above department will improve the training of assistants and fellowships along with professors and specialists.
