Nationwide Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign by Behnam Daheshpour Charity Organization with the slogan “A Few Minutes for a Lifetime” was held from October 9th to November 9th, concurrently with the month of October. The purpose of the campaign was to raise public awareness about the risk of breast cancer, promote awareness and sensitivity among women regarding their health, and encourage audiences to undergo early detection.
Behnam Daheshpour Charity Organization, in line with its organizational mission in the field of cancer prevention and considering the statistics of individuals visiting the counseling unit, has always prioritized awareness about the prevention and early detection of breast cancer as one of its strategic priorities.
In line with October month, we made efforts to take a step closer to building a “world without the fear of cancer” by distributing over 60 types of various educational content through posts, instructional videos, specialized interviews, and organizing classes and training courses for women in various commercial and industrial centers. We also contributed to equipping university hospitals in the field of breast cancer, including assisting in obtaining an advanced ultrasound equipment for Mahdieh Shoush Hospital and a vacuum biopsy device for Shohada Tajrish Hospital.
Currently, awareness, avoiding risk factors, and paying attention to warning signs along with the implementation of screening and early detection programs remain the most effective ways to control breast cancer. Increasing women’s awareness plays a significant and noticeable role in preventing and early detecting breast cancer.
